PRO Tis: The soft grey matte cannot eliminate laser speckle, but its speckle level is lower than standard ALR screens (such as Black Crystal or Grey Crystal). It represents a compromise solution.

    Which screen material is best for long-throw rgb triple-laser projectors?
    Your choice depends on your room lighting and viewing priorities: 1. soft grey matte (best balanced choice): recommended for dark, dim, or mixed day-and-night environments. it helps improve perceived contrast while reducing laser speckle. 2. soft white matte (best for dark rooms): ideal for dedicated dark rooms where you want natural color, maximum brightness, and the lowest visible laser speckle. 3. grey crystal & black crystal (best for brighter rooms): these offer stronger contrast and ambient-light resistance, though rgb laser speckle may be more noticeable. note: no screen material can completely eliminate laser speckle. at a normal viewing distance, it is much less noticeable than in close-up photos or videos.
    Which screen material is recommended for short-throw projectors (non-ust)?
    Both soft grey matte and soft white matte are fully compatible with short-throw projectors: 1. choose soft grey matte if you want deeper perceived blacks, stronger contrast, and better performance in dim or mixed-light rooms. 2. choose soft white matte if you mainly watch in a dark room and prioritize brightness, color neutrality, and low laser speckle.
    Can the screen be synchronized with the projector for automatic rise and retract?
    Yes. a usb trigger is included as standard. simply connect it to your projector’s usb port and complete the quick pairing process. once paired, the screen automatically rises when your projector turns on and retracts when it turns off, making your home cinema setup easier to use every day.
    Can the leapex motorized floor rising screen be set to a custom stop position (limit points)?
    Yes. the leapex floor rising screen supports custom stop positions, allowing you to set your preferred screen height once. the screen will automatically stop at that preset position during future use. note: for the best screen tension and flatness, we recommend fully extending the screen. leaving up to 10 cm (4 in) unextended is generally acceptable, but leaving more unextended may reduce screen tension and compromise surface flatness.
