Installation Recommendations
To achieve the best image and audio performance from your WUPRO 4K Weave Acoustically Transparent Screen, we recommend the following installation conditions.
✔ Fully Light-Controlled Environment
The 4K Weave AT material is designed for dedicated home theaters.
As this material is not Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR), direct sunlight or indoor lighting can noticeably reduce contrast, black levels, and color accuracy.
For the best cinematic experience, use the screen in a fully light-controlled room whenever possible.
✔ Dark Wall Behind the Screen
This is one of the most important installation considerations.
Unlike many projection screen materials, the 4K Weave AT fabric does not include a black backing layer.
A small amount of projected light passes through the woven fabric and may reflect back from the wall or objects behind the screen.
For the best image quality, we recommend installing the screen in front of:
- Matte black walls
- Dark gray walls
- Other neutral, non-reflective dark surfaces
Bright white or glossy walls behind the screen are not recommended, as they can reduce perceived contrast.
✔ Minimize Room Reflections
Even in a completely dark room, projector light reflects from the walls, ceiling, and floor back onto the screen.
These secondary reflections can reduce black levels and overall image contrast.
For optimal performance, darker wall and ceiling finishes are recommended, especially in dedicated home theaters.
✔ Proper Viewing Distance
The ultra-fine woven fabric is engineered to preserve 4K image detail while allowing sound to pass through with minimal loss.
Like all woven acoustically transparent materials, a subtle weave texture may be visible when viewed from a very close distance.
From a normal seating distance, the texture is generally not noticeable.
✔ Behind-Screen Speaker Placement
For the most immersive cinematic audio experience, position your left, center, and right speakers directly behind the screen.
This allows dialogue and on-screen sound to originate naturally from the image, just as intended in commercial cinemas.
