Description It uses a polymer nano-prism structure to effectively absorb ambient light. The white layer reflects projected light, while the black layer absorbs overhead interference, providing high contrast. The screen features a serrated cross-section structure made with a special process. It uses black and white prisms to effectively absorb ambient light, ensuring uniform color and brightness distribution. The Fresnel screen is an optical screen with an arc-shaped design that blocks ambient light from above and from the sides. It uses a concave mirror principle divided into circular rings to direct light, ensuring even light distribution. This Lenticular screen material offers ultra-high contrast ratio; excellent laser scatter suppression; ultra-high ambient light immunity; projection at any angle; and an ultra-wide viewing angle, making it ideal for long throw/standard throw tri-color laser projectors. The long-throw ALR screen uses flexible polymer PVC film with a grey multi-layer optical coating. It provides detailed and smooth image quality with high contrast and color saturation, and an ambient light rejection rate of up to 70%. The metal screen uses a high-reflective metal and polyethylene resin coating, providing high resolution and excellent color reproduction. The image is clear, with particularly good 3D imaging effects, high contrast, and exceptional ambient light rejection. The grey soft screen features a special optical grey coating on PVC, providing excellent light absorption and some light rejection. The light reflection is gentle, reducing eye strain during extended viewing. It offers high color accuracy, rich overall colors, and a clear image. The white soft screen is made from PVC with an optical coating on the surface. The material is soft and requires external support. It provides a clear, smooth image with vibrant and accurate colors. The light reflection is gentle, reducing eye strain during extended viewing. The perforated acoustic screen is woven from high-density specialized imaging fibers, offering excellent sound penetration and high-quality sound transmission. It seamlessly integrates audio and visual elements.

Guide to choosing materials for long throw projection screens

Step1:Determine the use of the environment
According to the intensity of the light in the room, select the corresponding anti-light level:

Strong light environment (daytime / open lights)
→ Priority light resistance: Fresnel ,Lenticular (long throw ) > Black Crystal

Low light environment (blackout curtains / night small lights)
→ Recommended balanced: Gray Crystal > Grey Fabric

Dark environment (all black studio)
→Both applicable

Step 2: Matching projector parameters

Screen Material Minimum Lumen Requirements   Is it compatible with tri-colour laser?
Lenticular ≥2000 ANSI  ✔️ Best resistance to
 Laser speckle
Black Crystal ≥1800 ANSI  Unable to reduce laser speckle
Gray Crystal ≥1600 ANSI  Unable to reduce laser speckle
Soft Grey Matte Unlimited ✔️ Less laser speckles than crystal material
Soft White Matte Unlimited
✔️ Resistance to scattering second only to and close to Lenticular

Step 3: Prioritise according to your needs

Sufficient budget (fixed-frame only):
For ultimate image quality go for Fresnel
For best balance of anti-laser speckles and image quality go for Lenticular

Cost Effective

  • High lightfastness needs + high contrast:Black Crystal
  • High resolution and 3D effects + medium lightfastness needs /high contrast:Grey Crystal
  • Dark Environment:Soft White Matte/Soft Grey Matte
  • Laser speckle resistance:Soft White Matte  Soft Grey Matte(best balance of anti-laser speckles and image quality)

Highlights of different long throw screen materials

1.Lenticular (long throw)
  • Highlights:Excellent resistance to laser speckle, very high contrast, excellent black level performance, high resistance to ambient light
  • Scene of use:Strong light/dark environment
  • Recommended Matching Projector: 2000 and above ANS lumens long/standard throw projector(Examples include tri-color laser projectors from Hisense and Valerion)
2.Black crystal :
  • Highlights:High color contrast,Excellent black level, high resistance to ambient light
  • Scene of use:Bright light/low to medium light/dark environment
  • Recommended Projectors:Real 1800+ ANSI lumens standard/long throw projectors((Such as BenQ, Epson, Sony, Dangbei, Formovie, JMGO, XGIMI, etc. 1800 lumens above the model)

Pro Tip: It doesn't eliminate Laser Speckle

3.Gray crystal
  • Highlights: High resolution/clarity, Better 3D effects
  • Not suitable for tricolour laser projector
  • Recommended Projectors:4K/8K standard/Throw projectors projector with real lumens ≥1600
  • Scene of use: low light environment / dark environment
4.Grey fabric (Grey soft)
  • Fits all projectors (Long /standard &short Throw & UST)
  • Lightfastness and colour contrast slightly better than white matt
  • Scene of use: dark environment
  • The best overall choice for reducing laser scatter and colour contrast.

Compatible with tri-colour laser projectors (e.g. Hisense Vidda, Valerion projector, etc.)

5.Soft white matte:
  • Fits all projectors (Long /standard &short Throw & UST)
  • Mainly used in dark environments

  • Universal Compatibility:Compatible with UST Projectors & Standard Throw Projectors, Short Throw Projectors
  • Minimising laser scatter

Compatible with tri-colour laser projectors (e.g. Hisense Vidda, Valerion projector, etc.)
